SharePoint Analyst / Developer required to join a team made up of Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Application Support, Development & Testing people who deliver day to day Business as Usual support and the delivery of enhancements and new applications to support the following teams: Actuarial, Claims, Enterprise Risk Management, Finance, HR, Strategy, Marketing & Internal Communications for a Global insurance firm. The applications are used in offices from Latin America and across Europe and the Middle East, through to Lloyd's China. The Team works closely with other teams within their portfolio and US based Global Speciality and Central IT Teams including Development, Testing, Change Management, and Incident Management. This Global insurance firm is progressively implementing Agile practices and seeks to recruit an experienced SharePoint Analyst/Developer to develop enhance and document both new and existing systems and processes. Key Responsibilities Development of SharePoint services including PowerApps and Power Automate. Development of integration of key services. Assist with solution design and in the preparation of system test plans. Work with business and technical staff to resolve problems and respond to suggestions for improvements or enhancements. Ensure products have been produced according to company procedures and standards. Be responsible for testing, release (via change control processes), documentation (both technical and end user focused) and maintenance of the developed product. Liaise with DevOps/Systems teams to ensure successful design, development, and deployment of products to production environments. Skills and Experience Essential Experience of working in an agile product development environment. Experience of SharePoint services, PowerApps and Power Automate. Proactive approach to fault finding and issue resolution. Ability to work as part of team to achieve common goals. Proactive and positive approach to both problems and solutions. Demonstration of working on own initiative without day-to-day direction from line manager. Ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical colleagues. Knowledge of industry technologies and application including new and current architectures, including data modelling and overall solution design. Produce technical support documentation. Experience of working within the full development lifecycle i.e., development, unit testing and release. Experience of Change Management in a well established organisation. Experience of Azure/Version Control Systems. Desirable Exposure to Microsoft Windows and Web Services i.e., IIS and Tomcat, CICD pipelines i.e., Azure DevOps and/or Bamboo, Source control (GIT / Azure DevOps). Knowledge of SQL Server T-SQL. Knowledge of SQL SSIS, SSAS and SSRS. Exposure to the Lloyds or London Market Insurance Industry or the financial services industry. Exposure of generating XML files. Development of automated testing solutions. Exposure to modelling products such as RMS RiskLink, AIR, Sequel Impact, AdvantageGo. Areas of Competence: Technical: Knowledge of developing and enhancing robust solutions in an enterprise organisation, coupled with the ability to support and troubleshoot issues.
