Do you have experience supporting Children or young adults with additional needs? We are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant to support a rated 'outstanding' Secondary SEN school in Greenwich to start ASAP. You will be supporting pupils within the Special Educational Needs class where the children have various needs: ASD, ADHD or SEMH. You will support them closely with their learning and development in small group or on a 1-2-1 basis. The role is long term as the school is receiving funding from September and would prefer a candidate that can commit to the role with an open mind and a passionate personality. Responsibilities: Provide learning support for pupils in small groups or on a 1-2-1 basis Supporting whole class learning (the class is made up of 10 children), whilst enabling pupils to work to their individual education programmes. Working closely with the class teachers to ensure the best standard of education is delivered to the children. To consider the student's learning needs and ensure their access to the lesson and its content through appropriate clarification, explanations, and use of materials and equipment. Encourage pupils to interact with the class and engage in lessons Encourage pupils to complete tasks set by the class teacherRequired Skills & Experience Previous and recent experience of working in a Primary or SEN School or any Education/residential setting Strong behaviour management with a flexible approach Enthusiastic, creative and passionate delivery of the National Curriculum Work independently and as part of a team Hold a relevant teaching assistant or childcare qualification (Level 1, 2 or Level 3) or relevant experience please also apply Have previous experience within the past last two years Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK residentIf you are interested in this position, please submit your application via the form below or send your CV over to Carly Walters at Remedy Education.
