Description Nuclera is a venture-backed, founder-driven biotech company headquartered in Cambridge, UK with significant operations in Boston, USA. The company s mission is to make biology accessible to everyone through desktop bioprinting. We are beginning this mission by making proteins accessible through the launch and on-going development of our eProtein desktop bioprinting platform. eProtein promises to be a breakthrough protein printing technology that brings rapid prototyping to the life science benchtop and accelerates the drug discovery process. Nuclera is entering the next phase of its growth with plans to dramatically expand its staff over the next 12-24 months offering extensive learning and career progression opportunities. We are looking for a Product Manager to lead our growing product development team. In this role you will interact with the best scientists, engineers, and developers in the UK, US, and other countries who are working together to deliver on our mission to make biology accessible. You will be a key member of the product team, working closely with R&D, Software Engineers, Application Specialists, Business Development and Marketing to shape the eProtein platform for commercial launch and beyond. This role will suit an individual who has experience and drive working in a fast-paced biotech environment with a track record of execution and teamwork. Product Manager (instrumentation) Salary: £ Negotiable / DOE (Market Leading) + Stock Options + Benefits Package Location: Cambridge (some WFH flexibility) About the role: Represent the customer and commercial perspective in eProtein product development involving instrumentation, software, and reagents Gain a deep understanding of customers needs, applications, and workflows, and organise this information in a structured way to guide product specifications, features, and capabilities Work with software developers and UI/UX designers to deliver software for experimental design and instrument interfaces that provide a first-class user experience Align stakeholders across the organisation and ensure that launch objectives and timelines are met Build the business case to prioritise new and emerging applications Define and evolve the value proposition, and collaborate with Marketing to effectively communicate it Monitor market and competitor trends and offer periodical updates for internal stakeholders Flexibly take on other product management or project management tasks as may be required in a dynamic start-up environment Requirements Essential: BSc or MSc in a life sciences subject or engineering (PhD a plus) 3+ years of experience as product manager for instrumentation, addressing the life sciences market Demonstrated experience with new product development from conception to launch Highly organised with strong project management skills Excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills Proven track record of delivery in a fast-paced environment Hands-on lab experience Desirable: Proven capability to manage software/UI projects Knowledge of protein biochemistry and/or drug discovery Experience in a customer-facing position (sales, technical support or similar), ideally serving pharmaceutical and biotech customers Benefits What we offer: In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a range of benefits including: Share option incentive scheme Life insurance Private medical insurance and cash plan 25 days' annual leave + Bank Holidays Enhanced employer's pension contributions Enhanced maternity and paternity Leave Investment in professional development and learning Access to amenities on the Cambridge Science Park Fresh fruit, tea, coffee, and snacks in the office Organized summer events for staff and their families Please apply with an up-to-date CV for consideration
