Placements Administrator - £16.13ph plus hol pay North London Duration: 3 Months (initially) Duties and Responsibilities: Medical Student Administration Liaising with administrative team and academic leads to ensure delivery of teaching and assessment within the overall timetables. Dealing with student enquiries on the Campus. Attending module management and administrative meetings. Assisting clinical examinations at the Campus as requested. Assisting in organising the introductory sessions for students on the Campus including registration day. Medical Clinical Placement and Module Information Organising integrated teaching including placements and module teaching programmes. Preparing timetables, course handbooks and other teaching material, issuing joining instructions for students and booking teaching rooms for lectures/seminars. Organising on-call rotas and on-call rooms. Maintaining of the module Moodle pages and updating them when needed. Providing administrative support in organizing end of module clinical assessments. Co-ordinating the completion and return of student placement reports and e-portfolio requirements. Additional Responsibilities Sourcing and booking teaching and exam venues, audio-visual, and catering. General administrative duties including covering the duties of other administrative staff in the other sites during sickness absence or annual leave. Occasionally servicing meetings related to the Year 4 or 5 modules, including disseminating information, taking minutes, and ensuring completion of all follow-up actions. Person Specification Working in a PA/secretarial or clerical/administrative role preferably in an academic environment. Experience servicing committees. Working with senior academic staff. High level knowledge of Microsoft Office especially in Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience of working with shared online documents, video conferencing systems, email and internet. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage own workload. Ability to work accurately and with high attention to detail. Handling confidential information and communications in a sensitive and effective manner.
