SUMMARY

The purpose of the OTC Associate is to assist ClearCourse in realising cash faster from its sales by ensuring the timely collection of outstanding invoices and effective credit risk management is applied.

A key element of the role is also ensuring standardisation of process and customer data across the end-to-end order to cash process to provide accurate revenue recognition and reporting of all revenues to the R2R team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing OTC activities for applicable entities according to ClearCourse standard procedures
  • Support application of the credit risk management policy
  • Monitor customer payments against their credit terms
  • Support customer credit reviews
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating elements of the system - e.g. customer master data, contracts
  • Processing invoices, credit notes, cash application of payments accurately and within timelines
  • Ensure control framework is adhered to
  • Manage OTC processes in line with defined SLAs
  • Approval of intercompany invoices and provide information to help complete monthly intercompany reconciliation
  • Calculation of bad debt provision
  • Ensuring timely operational KPI's are established and met
  • Provide regular reporting on aged debt and cash collection
  • Communicate and co-ordinate closely with product lines and entities

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Advanced problem solving abilities to find the root cause of issues raised
  • Recognises when support is required from other parties (e.g. SSC team or 3rd party vendors) to resolve an issue
  • Understands the pressure of month end and the need to resolve issues quickly so there is no impact on finance team reporting results
  • Keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
  • Strong working knowledge of NetSuite
  • Customer focussed and target driven
  • Forward thinking, with a 'can do' attitude
  • A high level of flexibility and a positive attitude to innovation and change
  • Ability to present information to management and in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to tight deadlines

Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree and experience in the financial field (e.g. Accountancy or Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Studies)
  • Minimum 1 year's Finance Experience
  • Experience of working within a portfolio business environment with an understanding of migrating processes and embedding new businesses into a SSC
