Our client is a global distributor of their products and also has a significant online presence. The Head Office is in Deeside with operations across Europe, the business offers a diverse range of products and operates within a fast-growing industry. The ambitious family run business has experienced significant growth in recent years, supported by a customer focused and dedicated workforce of over 500 employees, and is undergoing significant digital transformation. Due to this growth they are looking to add a Logistics Process Lead to their technology department. The successful candidate will have experience of working within a busy warehouse environment in a managerial or process improvement role. They will have experience of creating and maintaining process documentation, performing root cause analysis and an awareness or interest in Lean/ Six Sigma methodologies. The Role Due to continued growth and a programme of digital transformation, a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Logistics Process team. While being part of the Process department you will predominantly be working with the Warehouse Operations teams to help manage their processes and drive process improvement. Within this role you will be asked to become a subject matter expert for specific operational areas and be responsible for the accuracy of process documentation for those areas. You will work alongside the Warehouse Operations team to ensure processes are in place and being followed, you will also have the opportunity to identify areas of improvement and deliver change. As part of the role, you will look for areas of non-conformance, perform root cause analysis and work with the Operations team to put corrective and preventative actions in place. This role will offer opportunities for training and career progression Essential skills Positive attitude to change with the ability to coach colleagues through business change in a logistics/ warehouse environment Experience in a Process Improvement role or min. 2 years management experience within a Logistics environment Ability to both work collaboratively and lead by example Ability to audit and maintain process documentation Awareness or interest in Lean/ Six Sigma process improvement methodology and willingness to undertake training as required Confident with extracting and analysing data to perform root cause analysis with the ability to identify corrective action Ideally knowledge of WMS / WCS Systems
