Job Summary: This position will support the organization s culture of continuous improvement, with emphasis on the deployment of Lean and Six Sigma methodology. Responsible for collaborating with the organization s leadership and other key stakeholders at all levels to drive continuous improvement in operational performance and efficiency. Provides coaching and guidance on Lean Six Sigma (LSS) initiatives through facilitation and deployment of related principles, tools, and techniques. A key component will be advancing change management strategies throughout the organization s culture by managing relationships with all key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities: Facilitate Lean Six Sigma initiatives of all types, including but not limited to Strategic Planning (Hoshin Kanri), 3P/2P, Value Stream Analysis/Mapping, Rapid Improvement Events, Projects, etc with cross-functional teams. Guide leaders through even follow-up initiatives using project tracking and management tools to optimize accountability and sustainability of change. Coach others through Socratic methods empowering them to become leaders in expanding a Lean Six Sigma philosophy. Develop and coordinate curriculum/training resources that engage all learning styles to educate staff at all levels on Lean, Six Sigma, and other performance improvement/change management methodologies. Be confident and competent in delivering practical, hands-on training at all levels of the organization, from C-level leaders, clinicians, staff, and the community in every area of a regional healthcare system. Solves problems in complicated and complex situations through the application of strong analytical skills, creativity, and judgment. Interpret organizational strategic priorities to actionable process/performance improvement initiatives in support of CaroMont Health's mission, vision, and values. Anticipate and offer recommendations on how to best achieve system-wide adoption of a continuous improvement mindset and highly reliable operations. Identify operational improvement opportunities, quantify, and develop strategies to achieve objectives and drive implementation of the strategies to execution with exemplary project management skills.

Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree required; Master s Degree preferred. 3 years related work experience required. Certification preferred. Demonstrate the ability to drive teams in reducing waste and improving throughput times. Work history of achieving results through implementation of large-scale projects and value-added change. Strong project management and analytical/problem-solving skills in scoping and analyzing cross-functional problems and generate/implement effective solutions. Self-starter with ability to work independently and often with little direction. Achievement oriented and enjoys taking on challenges even if they might fail. Proficient in Microsoft Office software and related programs.

Strong influencer with the ability and desire to motivate others, creating the pull for LSS into their daily work environments. Solid understanding of business processes and system wide thinking. Outstanding verbal and written communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of continuous improvement concepts. Experience in using process improvement tools and basic techniques. Must have ability to multitask and prioritize multiple ongoing projects at one time. Experience leveraging Lean Six Sigma techniques, in a healthcare setting is a definite plus.
