Job Summary:

This new position reports to the Director Accounting and Reporting and responsible for fixed asset accounting, monthly close duties, balance sheet and P&L analysis, account reconciliations, audit support and other projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and vision to the Fixed Assets function by developing business planning that aligns with Company goals.
  • Execute established system of procedures and internal controls to accurately record the acquisition, changes, and disposition of fixed assets.
  • Effectively manage labor cost of the function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts, reports, financials statements and assist in month-end close effort.
  • Support and communicate effectively with internal customers and internal/external auditors to answer questions and provide guidance related to fixed assets.
  • Assist with both internal and external audit.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annually various internal financial reports for presentation to Finance leadership.
  • Prepare/assist in completing account reconciliations on a monthly basis by deadline.
  • Coordinate with shared services teams on accounting, reporting, and financial close matters.
  • Coordinate with shared services team to track, report and mange Fixed Assets Metrics/KPI's, including resolution of any pending/recurring issues.
  • Lead and complete the physical verification of assets in compliance with the company policy.
  • Coordinate with SOX team on internal controls for this function including avoidance/ remediation of any failures in a timely manner.
  • Lead and implement process improvement efforts including working with RPA team to automate and replace manual efforts.
  • Provide support for inter-company transactions related to fixed assets.
  • Assist with other projects and duties as assigned by Director and/or Controller


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting.
  • 5+ years experience in the accounting field or 3-5 years public accounting
  • Intermediate proficiency level in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in a publicly traded company.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Big 4 experience
  • Knowledge of Oracle or large ERP system reporting.
  • Knowledge of HFM and Essbase
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.


Professional Skills:
  • Experience with financial statement preparation for a multi-entity organization, month-end, journal entries and solid analysis experience.
  • Exposure to budgeting and account reconciliations. Experience working with a fully integrated accounting system preferred.
  • Experience engaging in process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience improving the company's internal controls.
  • Experience with GL operations and reporting chart of accounts, account reconciliation and analysis and internal financial reporting.
  • Experience with Shared Services / off shore model
