Commercial Assistant - Indian Queens Hybrid - £: Negotiable depending experience
Trial Balance Consulting have been reengaged by one of our longstanding clients, a highly successful engineering business which has grown significantly over recent years. The company seeks to recruit a Commercial Assistant; a key role within the organisation that will work between the administration and finance function of the business. This is a full time, permanent position where the successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to work on a hybrid working arrangement - working remotely on a Monday and Friday.
Working closely with the Commercial Manager and the tendering team, this is a broad and interesting position where the successful candidate will quickly become an integral member of the business administration function. You ll be working as part of a small but busy team and will play a key role in business administration. Key responsibilities to include:
- Data analysis
- Completion of supplier purchase documentation
- Preparing quotations
- Processing sales order forms
- Preparing customer invoices
- Ensuring that tenders are delivered on time
- Regularly update costing functions of ERP system
- Contract reviews
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
For this role we re more focussed on personal qualities and general organisation skills than we are formal qualifications. Ideally, you ll possess at least 12 months experience in a busy administration or finance function (even better if experience gained within a manufacturing or engineering environment), but ultimately, it s the communication skills that matter. You ll need to accomplished where IT skills are concerned, with solid experience of MS Office products and the aptitude to pick up a bespoke ERP. This is a busy role that will liaise regularly with colleagues across all areas of the business so a cheerful disposition and general "can-do" attitude essential.
