A Global printing and publishing supply chain and logistics brand are looking for a Business Development Executive paying £40k-£45k + £60K OTE + Car or Car allowance with options to work from home with a few visits to the offices in Hatfield. We are looking for Logistics and Supply chain experience, you may have worked in Print or Publishing, but we need you to come from a New Business background, you will win New Business and Account Manage the accounts for 12 Months. This is a great opportunity because you will be working for a market leader in the Academic publishing world, think of all the huge academic publishers they pretty much work with them and being there logistics partner. This is a Field Sales role, your territory will be where the main publishers are, this isn't a traditional field sales role where you are out 12 meetings a week, but you will be meeting customers face to face. Responsibilities: Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation Generate leads and cold call prospective customers Meet with prospects face to face where possible to present services Foster and develop relationships with customers Understand the needs of your customers and respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these needs Liaise with the Commercial team to ensure opportunities are quoted accurately Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department Liaise with Finance, CRG, IT and Operations departments as appropriate Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports as required Ensure the Sugar CRM system is up to date with all lead/opportunity information Attend industry seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate Keep abreast of trends and changes in the industry Location: Hatfield/ Hertfordshire If you want to apply, get in contact: (phone number removed) (url removed) SEO: Business Development/ Sales Executive/ Area Sales Executive/ New Business Mandeville is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy
