Aircraft Disassembly Engineer

Kemble, Gloucestershire
£13.50 to £15.50 Per Hour
Job Type
6 Sep 2022
Air Salvage International is a world leader in the disassembly of commercial aircraft at the end of their economic life. Parts are processed and sent away for rebuilding and recertification to be used as spare parts in the airline industry. Parts that cannot be re-used are repurposed or their high-quality alloys are salvaged for reprocessing into metals for use by industry. We are looking for enthusiastic, able mechanics who want to work in a challenging and interesting aerospace environment. The position would suit a motor mechanic, industrial service engineer or fitter who has an aptitude for learning new techniques and skills and wants a more challenging environment. You will be required to do in-house and external training such as Human Factors, Working at Height, EWISS and Fuel Tank Safety. You will develop a training passport. The work involves quite literally taking the aircraft apart - carefully -, normally operating in a team of between 2 and 4. Communication skills and a good sense of humour are essential. You will need to be a team player, able to see the big picture while focussing on your own tasks. Having your own tool kit is a major advantage - we can help you develop that as you go along. All specialist tools are provided by the company
