Advisory & Intervention Teacher Location: Yeovil Type: Fixed Term contract Dates: 01/10/2022 (sooner if possible) until 21/07/2023 Salary: MPS & UPS (£131.87 per day - £213.35 per day) Hours: 0.4 / 0.6 FTE Elementa are supporting this PRU to appoint an experienced (qualified) teacher to work Advisory & Intervention Teacher. This is an interesting role which will involve guiding and informing best practice to education practitioners relating to behaviour and for school liaison as well. This post is to cover for an unfilled vacancy due to a late resignation. The current teacher has been successful in securing a post offering career progression and the school are supportive of the move however looking to replace the person with another outstanding SEND Teacher. The post holder is still employed therefore the role could offer an immediate start. The right person should have experience extensive of working with students that have SEMH and display challenging behaviours and ideally of having used the THRIVE approach. This job role will be working at a specialist setting which provides education for children from KS2 - KS4 across several sites however the majority of the role will be aimed at primary aged children. Naturally, working at a specialist setting for SEMH will involve working with the more challenging learners so resilience, a sense of humour, empathy and the desire to motivate education professionals and learners whatever their background or ability will be key to being successful in this role.
